TEEN pop lovers rejoice! British pop act S Club 7 are on the comeback trail — and they swear this time, they’ll be bigger than ever.

The seven-piece manufactured group burned bright for a few glorious years from 1999 to 2002, delivering hits like Don’t Stop Movin’, Bring It All Back and S Club Party.

In their homeland they scored 11 top five singles in a row, while here in Australia, three of their songs achieved platinum status.

Like all good mass-marketed teen acts, they also had a TV show, a couple of films and even their own spin-off group, S Club Juniors (catering to younger listeners who found S Club 7’s brand of pop too, uh, sophisticated).

Since disbanding in 2003, the band members’ successes have been more limited. Aussie fans may remember three of the group touring here in 2012; a rather sad and sorry sight as the trio performed their biggest hits to a backing track, depleted to less than half their original line-up.

However, S Club 7 circa 2014 is being prepped as a Spice Girls-esque, no-expense-spared reunion. After all, the two groups share a manager: Simon Fuller, who reportedly “wants this reunion to be bigger than Take That or Steps.

Both those comebacks resulted in number one albums and arena tours of the UK for the respective groups.

Can S Club 7 bring it all back and repeat their turn of the century success? We’ll have to wait and see — but we sure would like to hear them bust out Don’t Stop Movin’ again.
