THE song that made the “cup game” famous keeps on breaking records.

Saint-Bernard school in Quebec, Canada decided to do something special for Christmas.

The school wanted to set a world record by having 1500 students from kindergarten to high school plus staff perform ‘Cups’ in one room. The video is very cool.

The song was made famous by actor Anna Kendrick’s performance in the film Pitch Perfect.

When Kendrick signed up for the film she had no idea ‘Cups’ would go on to rank number one on the US Billboards.

Pitch Perfect premiered in September 2012, but it was when Kendrick went on Letterman and performed the song for a live audience that she saw real success with the track.

To date the video has had more than 93 million views.

A Saint-Bernard school student said they “worked very hard to get the final result which is a beautiful video”.

“This was a project organised by students for students and it shows that maybe our generation is underestimated sometimes,” she told news.com.au. “The day of the event, it was simply incredible. I was, and still am, really proud.”
