A WACKY Chinese music video is fast becoming an internet sensation, hailed as the new Gangnam Style.

Chick Chick by C-Pop star Wang Rong Rollin has been viewed more than 5.1 million times since it was uploaded to YouTube last month.

Not only is the track insanely catchy, the bizarre video features animated chickens and topless men in animal masks performing choreographed dance routines.

It begins with Wang casting a spell on an animated farmyard world to bring it to life.

Dancers in strange makeup and poultry-themed white tutus and headdresses materialise, shaking their tailfeathers.

Wang’s character is seen at the start peering through shuttered windows in the style of a confused Alice in Wonderland.

A series of animated chickens, dogs and other farmyard creatures appear on the screen, as the dancing continues.

The trance-inducing song is mainly made up of squawking, farm noises and meaningless refrains of “funky funky” and “oh oh oh”.

It has caused an uproar on social media, with bemused users veering between “loving it!” and questioning the incomprehensible concept.

Now Wang’s hit has spread from China to the world, it can’t be long before this becomes a full-blown global obsession.

Psy’s K-Pop breakout hit Gangnam Style is the only YouTube video ever to pass two billion views. Can Chick Chick beat it?

Whether you’re already singing along or it just makes your head hurt, this bubblegum pop track will be stuck in your head before you know it.

And you’ll know all the dance moves too.
