IT’S normally boys who are the targets of Taylor Swift’s songs, but this time it’s a chick who dared to cross her.

The 24-year-old has revealed new song Bad Blood is about a female artist who she is now “straight-up enemies with”.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” she told Rolling Stone.

“She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’”

“[Then last year] she did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy!”

Swift continued: “It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational — you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”

Swift said she wanted fans to know the song wasn’t about an ex-boyfriend.

“I know people will make it this big girl-fight thing. But I just want people to know it’s not about a guy,” she explained. “You don’t want to shade someone you used to date and make it seem like you hate him, when that’s not the case.”

But 1989 may have moved away from love lost and heartbreak, there may still have a reference to her ex Harry Styles, with Style, said to be about the One Direction frontman.

1989 is due out October 27.
