The world’s biggest electronic chart stars from Major Lazer and DJ Snake to local heroes Peking Duk and What So Not will entertain the country’s biggest festival crowds at Stereosonic 2015.

As we exclusively revealed on Sunday, Major Lazer will perform live while its creative controller Diplo has also booked a DJ set.

Dutch producer Armin Van Buuren and Swedish superstar DJ duo Axwell and Ingrosso have been confirmed as the other headliners of a line-up full of names which have graced the Australian pop charts in the past couple years.

Frenchman DJ Snake, who enjoyed a No. 1 in Australia with Major Lazer’s Lean On and is currently in the top 20 with You Know You Like It, swept the world last year with his break out track Turn Down For What.

“I’m excited to be coming back to Australia and play at Stereosonic, it’s always a good time,” the Frenchman said.

Swedish star Miike Snow’s new electro duo Galantis will also prove a huge drawcard thanks to their two hits Peanut Butter Jelly and Runaway (U & I) as well as regular singles hitmakers Clean Bandit and Duke Dumont will also perform at the annual summer festival.

The local contingent is lead by Peking Duk who dropped their much-anticipated new single Say My Name last week, alongside global Melbourne Bounce sensation Will Sparks, Freaks chart star Timmy Trumpet, Hot Dub Time Machine and rising stars Carmada and Generik.

The line-up disappointingly lacks a significant roll of female artists.

The festival has curated the 2015 event to cater for a wide range of electronic music, with each arena stage specialising in genres from commercial dance through to more underground sounds.

The festival kicks off at the Sydney Showgrounds on November 28 before travelling to Perth’s Claremont Showground on November 29, Melbourne Showground and Adelaide’s Bonython park on December 5 and Brisbane Showgrounds on December 6.

The Mastercard pre-sale kicks off on July 27 from 10am, Moshtix and Stereosnic members pre-sale on July 29 and general tickets on July 30.
