Yes.. that is such a struggle! Last evening, I had a short list of newer
songs to run past the advisor prior to starting on where our ‘blurred line’
was going to be for the night.. #musicismessy

I personally dislike profanity in today’s music. When I started DJ’ing in
the mid 1980s there was virtually none. Today it’s a different story. I
don’t see why anyone would want to include swear words in their lyrics. All
it does is show just a small a grasp the writer has of the English
language. There is no need for it.

Great vid. As a DJ (since ’84) and a HS teacher, it is challenging to find
school appropriate music that students will still dance to. Many of the
current songs just can’t be cleaned up. The content is so suggestive or
inappropriate we can’t even play the radio edit.
