AC/DC co-founder Malcolm Young has reportedly been moved into a nursing home after being diagnosed with dementia.
Fairfax reports that sources connected to the 61-year-old guitarist and songwriter’s family have confirmed he has been diagnosed with the condition and is in full-time care.

The news comes after Young’s retirement from the band was announced on Wednesday.
The facility is understood to be Lulworth House in Elizabeth Bay where Gough Whitlam resides and Neville Wran lived until his recent death.

AC/DC has sold more than 200 million albums, making them the biggest Australian rock act of all time.
In April, it was confirmed Young would not participate in the recording of the next AC/DC album which is due out in November because of an undisclosed debilitating illness.
