CONTROVERSIAL hip-hop star Tyler, The Creator claims he has been banned from touring Australia, blaming a war of words with a feminist group.

But his promoter says the We Got Bitches rapper has not had his visa denied, despite his tweets today claiming he had been barred from the country.

The hip-hop artist, 24, is known for his misogynist, violent and sexually demeaning lyrics about women.

He claimed on social media that he had been “banned” from entering Australia, tagging Coralie Alison, of the group Collective Shout — a movement against the objectification of women and sexualisation of girls — in the tweet.

But his tour company Frontier said the Odd Future ringleader had not had his visa revoked.

“With respect to media reports that Tyler, The Creator’s visa has been refused, Frontier would like to advise that this is not the case,” a Frontier rep said in a statement to News Corp Australia today.

“The Department for Immigration has raised issues with the visa application but it has not been refused and Frontier will update ticket holders as soon as more information comes to hand”.

In 2013, Tyler, The Creator — whose real name is Tyler Gregory Okonma — was slammed for hurling verbal abuse at Collective Shout members during his Australian shows.

At one show, he reportedly told the crowd, “I got a sold-out show right now bitch. Hey this f … ing song is dedicated to you, you f … ing c …,” Pitchfork reported at the time.

Tyler, The Creator is due to tour Down Under in September for his latest album, Cherry Bomb.

Earlier this month, he told Triple J: “I love it there … those are my favourite places to go”.
