POP superstar Katy Perry landed in Perth for the first time today and was sure to make time for some of her most eager and dedicated fans.
Perry will spend a couple of days getting used to the WA capital before she kicks off her 23-show Australian leg of The Prismatic World Tour with two sold-out concerts at Perth Arena on Friday and Saturday night.
The pop star reportedly arrived on a private flight.
Wearing an Adidas tracksuit jacket, Ray Bans and with her hair pulled back, Perry looked far removed from her colourful, wacky costume-wearing pop persona.
The Roar singer stopped to take selfies with ecstatic Perth fans – who are part of Perry’s “KatyCats” following – who had been waiting for her arrival.
One fan, Summer Jade, tweeted: “SHE’S SUCH A SWEETHEART” after taking her photo with Perry.

Another fan, Travis, who was lucky enough to grab a snap with the pop princess tweeted: “welcome to Perth @katyperry. thank you so much for stopping for us!”
Perry touched down in Melbourne yesterday and was clearly impressed with the weather, tweeting to her 59.4 million followers: “TWO SUMMERS IN ONE YEAR?! THANKS AUSTRALIA!”
Perry’s arena tour of Australia ends in Brisbane on December 15.
