US ROCK bands Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age will tour Australia together in March.

It follows Nine Inch Nails creator Trent Reznor pulling out of next year’s Soundwave Festival, saying the event “wasn’t the right vibe for us or our fans.”

Promoters then scrambled to accommodate Reznor, who has a huge fanbase in Australia.

Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age have toured together overseas.

For Australia they will be joined by Aussie expat Brody Dalle, who is married to Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme.

Dalle will showcase material from her upcoming solo album, as well as songs from her band the Distillers.

Nine Inch Nail’s comeback album Hesitation Marks debuted at No. 3 on the Australian chart this year, while Queens of the Stone Age’s Like Clockwork became their first chart topper in this country in June.

The tour plays Sydney Entertainment Centre on March 6, Newcastle Entertainment Centre March 8, Perth Arena March 11, Adelaide’s AEC Arena March 13, Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on March 14 and Brisbane Entertainement Centre March 17.

Tickets go on sale October 24.
