IF you thought we’d left the Year of Miley behind in 2013, think again: the teen-star-turned-bad-girl will star in an MTV Unplugged special on January 29.
Traditionally, MTV Unplugged specials have been an opportunity for artists such as Nirvana, Alanis Morissette and Florence and the Machine to strip away all music industry artifice and present their songs in an intimate setting.
With that in mind, Miley’s promoting the special by tweeting out an image of herself clad in a blonde wig, topless apart for nipple pasties and wearing an ungainly pair of comedy false teeth. As you do.

MTV have promised that the special will “showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus and feature surprise guests for an unexpected reinvention of the songs that have defined her career, including several from her #1 critically acclaimed album, Bangerz.”
Miley’s now the second female pop star to don a pair of false teeth in recent months, after Lady Gaga sported a similar look during promotion of her latest album ARTPOP. The coincidence didn’t go unnoticed by Gaga, who yesterday Tweeted ‘Pop culture is my bitch’ with a picture of the look that perhaps inspired Miley.
