Miley and Katy’s kiss has sparked a war of words

IT started out like Romeo and Juliet, but ended in tragedy.
The burgeoning Sapphic romance between popstrels Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry is over before it began, it would seem.
Perry was in the audience for the February 22 Los Angeles date of Cyrus’s Bangerz tour. In between all her usual twerking, crotch-rubbing, dry-humping and yes, even singing, Cyrus found time to summon Perry to the front of the stage for a totally spontaneous, not-at-all-pre-planned kiss.
Somehow — and we’re still not sure quite how this happened — pictures of the pair’s intimate moment in front of an arena full of cameraphone-wielding fans then made it into the media. Honestly, can two pop stars not just pash in peace nowadays?

However, the love affair has already turned sour. During her appearance on Channel Seven’s Sunrise this week, Perry denied her part in the pash, claiming the kiss was a simple peck on the cheek that Cyrus took too far.
“I just went up to her to give her a friendly girly kiss — you know, as us girls do,” she told host Samantha Armytage, you responded with a look that said ‘please do not kiss me’.
“And then she, like, tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away. God knows where that tongue has been!”
