MADONNA has opened up in a candid interview with Howard Stern about her years trying to make it in New York City — and it wasn’t all fun.

“First I was in shock, I didn’t know a soul,” she said about moving to the city in the late 70s.

“I was saying hi to people on the streets like a dork.”

And she says it was her friendliness that got her in trouble.

“I was going to a dance class and the door was locked and I needed money for the payphone,” she said.

“[A man] gave it to me … he was a very friendly guy. I trusted everybody.”

The unknown man then persuaded her to go across the street to his place to make the call.

“I was raped,” she said. “The first year I lived in New York was crazy.”

When Stern asked if she ever went to the police and filed charges, Madonna said it was too upsetting.

“You’ve already been violated,” she said.

“It’s just not worth it. It’s too much humiliation.”

She also revealed in the 90 minute interview that she once dated Tupac.

Talking about her infamous 1994 appearance on Late Night With David Letterman where she dropped a string of f-bombs (14 to be precise), she casually mentioned she dated the late rapper.

“I was mad at [David Letterman] when I said the F-word a lot,” she said.

“I was in a weird mood that day.

“I was dating Tupac Shakur at the time and the thing is he got me all riled up on life in general. So when I went on the show I was feeling very gangsta.”
