KANYE WEST said he believes he is the victim after the controversy over his alleged “wheelchair rant” at his Sydney concert on Friday night.

Speaking during his final Australian concert in Brisbane last night, West responded to the controversy saying said people need to lay off him because he’s a “married Christian man with a family”.

The rapper made international headlines for all the wrong reasons over the weekend when it was reported that he demanded two disabled concertgoers get up and dance.

But he said the controversy was “bulls–t blown out of proportion” by the media and that they were “obviously trying to demonise” him.

“They (the media) want the masses, the people who have never even heard one of my albums to somehow read a headline that’s reads negative and to think that I am a bad person.

“At my concerts, I make sure everybody has as good a time as possible. So all this demonising me, it aint’ goin’ to work after a while. Pick a new target. Pick a new target. Because I’m not one of these dumbass artists that you’re used to. You come at me, I’m going to take my platform and break this shit down for real, intelligent people every night. And then, we’ll get back to the music.”

Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian has also weighed in on the controversy as the couple prepare to depart Australia. Posting a video of her hubby in concert on Instagram, Kardashian delivered this message to fans:

“What an amazing Australian tour! Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media. Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings”

“Everybody who is not is a wheelchair or handicapped will stand up,” he said.

“If you cannot prove to me that you are in a wheelchair you need to be standing, if you can it is OK to sit down.”

That was only the tip of the iceberg when it came to his ranting.

His main target was the media, warning US journalist Matt Lauer, as well as Good Morning America and the hosts of The View off attacking him.

He also said his day at Australia Zoo with wife Kim Kardashian and daughter North was consumed with the negativity that was circulating.
