TAYLOR Swift is known for writing songs about her exes, and now she’s roping in her mates to help her out — this time about Harry Styles.

The singer’s brand new jam Out of the Woods, co-written by Fun’s Jack Antonoff (aka Lena Dunham’s boyfriend), has just surfaced and everyone thinks it’s about Styles, who she dated off-and-on in 2012.

Taken from her upcoming fifth album, 1989 (due to drop on October 27), the chart-topper describes an incident in which Swift’s lover ended up with 20 stitches — strongly rumoured to be something that happened to Styles.

In the chorus of the synth-powered anthem, 24-year-old Swift asks repeatedly, “Are we out of the woods yet?” and “Are we in the clear yet?”

Girls writer Lena Dunham shared a snap on Instagram of her beau recording the track with Swift, writing: “Took this the first time @taylorswift & @jackantonoff made music together in our living room. Now they are #1 on iTunes with #OutOfTheWoods. Kvelling.”

But it’s not just Dunham who is celebrating the song’s success.

While Swift is staying mum on the inspiration for her song, she’s documented her domination of the iTunes music charts with two cute posts on Instagram.

Out of the Woods is currently number one, with her song Shake it Off taking the second spot.

“HOW. AM I. SUPPOSED. TO HANDLE THIS. #heavybreathing #outofthewoods,” Swift wrote on Instagram with a grab of the iTunes charts.
