Guy Sebastian has finally unleashed the song he’ll perform at Eurovision.
“Tonight Again”, an anthemic R&B track, was written and produced specifically for the competition over the past week in Sydney.
SBS posted a behind-the-scenes look at how the song came together in less than 48 hours.
It was speculated early on that he would choose an epic ballad – but “Tonight Again” is far from that.
Talking about the choice, Guy told SBS he wanted to write something completely new for the contest.
“When it came time to decide on a song, I thought since I had a couple of days off in Australia I would try and write something new,” he said.
“But if I was to record a new song I wanted it to be homegrown and organic with my band in my studio.

“Truly, we jumped in the studio and let it happen because I wanted to write something fun! We all have moments you don’t want to end and you wish you could live those moments every day so I wanted to write a song about that feeling. I am sure that is how I am going to feel when I am in Vienna performing.”
Guy’s performance will be the first time an Australian has been invited to compete in the contest.
He copped criticism on social media when his selection was announced earlier this month.
