KYLIE Minogue went back to her roots at a club show in Melbourne.

Minogue and band played a one-hour set at Toorak’s Trak Lounge on Saturday night ahead of her performance at Sunday night’s Logies.

A total 800 Fans won tickets via I Heart Radio.

She sung hits Can’t Get You Out of My Head, Wow, Love at First Sight and recent singles Into the Blue, Beautiful and I Was Gonna Cancel – the latter which she will perform at the Logies.

Last Thursday, Minogue filmed the video for I Was Gonna Cancel at a Docklands set.

It is the first video she has filmed in her hometown since Better the Devil You Know in 1990.

The new video drew controversy when Sydney director Dimitri Basil put a call out to his industry contacts to be extras in the clip.

A misunderstanding flared that dancers would be working for free.

Minogue clarified all the dancers were paid.

She tweeted: “All video cast had a blast and yes OF COURSE all were paid, contrary to reports.”

Basil, who usually makes low-budget indie videos, also was at pains to point out everyone was paid.

“It was a call out to my friends to be a part of a particular crowd scene in the video. I certainly didn’t mean to offend the dance community,” he said.

The last time Minogue, 45, played a small club in Melbourne was at the defunct Mercury Lounge for her 30th birthday.

Meanwhile, British singer Ed Sheeran – who is also performing at the Logies – was spotted at Trak.
