The music industry can enjoy bright numbers. Total sold music for over half a billion kronor in Sweden during the first half of 2016, an increase of 8.6 percent compared with 2015, according to statistics from the music industry association IFPI.

Streamed music services increased 9.6 percent, and now account for close to 86 percent of total music sales.

"It is very positive that revenue from streaming music services continue to increase even in the country for several years by many considered to have reached the ceiling for streaming," said Ludwig Werner, CEO of IFPI, said in a statement.

CDs attracts fewer and fewer, and sales of these went down 5.9 percent. Vinyl Sales, however, increased by almost 70 percent and thereby take home 3.5 percent of total sales.
