Chart News: Maroon 5′s ‘V’ tops 1M; closes in on 13M albums sold (US)

Maroon 5, V – No. 18:
The groups V album surpassed 1 million copies sold in the week ending July 30, as the set moved another 6,000 (bringing its total just over the million mark). V was released on Sept. 2, 2014, and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking the bands second chart-topping album. On the latest Billboard 200 chart, V slips 16-18 in its 48th week on the list.
V is Maroon 5s fifth album to sell a million copies — and now all five of their studio albums have reached the milestone. Their biggest selling effort remains their 2002 debut, Songs About Jane, which has sold 5.1 million. In total, Maroon 5 has sold 12.9 million albums in the U.S.
