In its first week, Cole’s third album sold 361,120 copies, according to HitsDailyDouble — which is safely the largest first-week for a rap artist this year. With streams included, the album hit 375,214. That tops what he did with last year’s Born Sinner, which sold 296,000 in its first week.

But that’s not all. Cole also topped One Direction.

How, you ask? By setting the record for the most streams ever for an album’s debut week on Spotify. His 15.7 million topped One Direction’s previous mark of 11.5 million, a rep for Spotify confirmed with MTV News.

His Spotify streams gave him the equivalent of 10.5k sales (1,500 song streams from an album to one equivalent album sale.) :clap3:
