BELIEVE it or not, there’s a heap of old songs Australians are still listening to — from the Spice Girls to Whitney Houston — these are the ones we like.
According to Spotify, there are more than 5.5 million decade specific playlists that have been created around the world by users on their music platform.
In the past 50 years globally and in Australia, the most streamed song across playlists dedicated to the 50s is Lollipop by the Chordettes.
Marvin Gaye’s Motown single I Heard it Through the Grapevine tops the list for the most popular across 60s playlists.

TLC took the 90s playlists by storm with their 1994 single Waterfalls, followed by Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind and Wannabe by the Spice Girls.
