CELEBRITY gossip columnist Perez Hilton has laid the smack down on K Michelle, after the singer tweeted her displeasure at Iggy Azalea’s rap style.
The flaming began after Michelle questioned the Australian rapper’s bona fides, tweeting: “How can you be from another country and rap like you’re from Memphis TN? But u don’t hear me though #offended.”
Hilton jumped in: “I think you chose the wrong hashtag and meant to say #jealous instead! X,” to which Michelle snarked: “Stay in ur place Cinderella!!!!”
Azalea’s single ‘Fancy’ is currently no 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Hilton and Michelle went head to head from there. Azalea, wisely, stayed out of it.
“@PerezHilton: @kmichelle > You're 1 of the OLD girls, no one has been checking 4u since Lady Gaga disowned u. I said what I said!

Azalea, 23, who grew up in Mullumbimby on the New South Wales north coast, raps in a southern American accent. “I lived in the South for five years; you pick up things from your surroundings and teachers,” she told Pop Manifesto. “The people who taught me to rap are all from the South and so was the music I had listened to as a teen.”

Azalea, whose speaking voice still sounds Australian, left school and moved to the United States at 16 years old to pursue her music career. “To be 100 per cent honest, I don’t have any friends in Australia, just my family,” she said. “I identify with Australian culture, of course; I was raised there. But there are parts of other cultures I identify with more, which is why I moved.”
Oh @kmichelle @PerezHilton >Now I'm going 2go heal sum hearts, u should do the same. P.S I like you better with the pink hair and ur 4 chins

Throwing shade on Twitter is nothing new for K Michelle, who has engaged in public feuds in the past with fellow entertainers, including Tamar Braxton and Rasheeda. The online slanging with Braxton lasted more than a year.
