Some fans walked out of the concert at Rod Laver Arena because they felt the pop icon, who was lip syncing, just didn’t want to be there.

It was kind of like her “people” just wheeled her out in a costume, she “sang” a few songs and left.

A little story, Britney headed to Eve nightclub in Southbank after one of the shows and sat in a private room all by herself all night wearing dark sunglasses, it was a little sad to see.

But in 2009, it was a very different Britney to what we see now.

She had just started getting over a horror year in 2007, where she suffered some very public meltdowns that happened in front of hordes of Los Angeles paparazzi.

If you want to know how absurd it was for Britney back then, search for “Britney” and “paparazzi” on You Tube and you will see the chaotic footage of what was her real and seemingly tragic life.

But everyone loves a comeback story, or a survivor, and Britney is just that.

Spears has the most talked about video and single probably this year with Aussie rapper Iggy Izalea in Pretty Girls, that soared to 10 million YouTube views in a few days.

The duo will perform at the Billboard Music Awards tomorrow, and it will be the performance pop music fans around the world will be watching.

She has again made herself relevant and once again a good news story.

You’ve got to give her credit for that.
