BRITPOP legends Blur could finally make good on their promise to return to Australia with rumours swirling the band have booked a headlining spot on Splendour In The Grass in July.
Organisers of the annual winter festival are expected to unveil their 2015 line-up before the end of the month.
Several artists have firmed up to make the trek to Byron Bay during recent promotional visits including The Wombats and Mark Ronson, who have both hinted they will be back midyear.

Blur were scheduled to headline what would be the final Big Day Out last year alongside Arcade Fire and Pearl Jam but pulled out citing clashes with the new promoters.
But it was later revealed frontman Damon Albarn was focusing on finishing his debut solo record Everyday Robots.
The seminal British band release their long-awaited new album The Magic Whip on April 17 and to date have only booked two shows in the UK in June.
But industry insiders insist they are firming up as Splendour tourists.
Many crystal ball gazers check out the line-up of the Fuji Rock festival which happens on the same weekend. Splendour and the Japanese event often share artists.

Among those candidates whose schedules would allow them to add a show in Byron Bay include British electronic gurus Rudimental and American rocker Ryan Adams.
Danish singer songwriter MØ recently let slip that she is heading our way as Lean On, her latest single with Major Lazer, hits No. 1 in Australia.
Australian globetrotters Tame Impala are also being courted for their first homecoming gig to launch new record Currents.

Other international acts whose schedules are open on the July 24 to 26 weekend include Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Vaccines, Rosie Lowe and Jenny Lewis.
Local artists expected to score a berth include Alison Wonderland and Tkay Maidza.
As the Australian festival market shrinks as the major national events struggle to sell out, with both Big Day Out and now Future Music folding, the destination weekenders are proving to be the most popular ticket.
