The Australian entertainment industry was reeling after the sudden death of respected celebrity agent Mark Byrne, who helped steer the careers of many actors, performers and personalities including Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Timomatic and Ben Mingay.
Mark Byrne died of a suspected heart attack on Friday, aged 45, after recent health issues.

A dancer, whose career was cut short by a back injury, Byrne transferred his skills to management, broadening his expertise to television and music.
For almost 20 years he looked after a wealth of major Australian talent including Maggie Kirkpatrick, Stuart Wagstaff, Bill Collins, Matt Lee, Sharni Vinson and Charlotte Dawson.

He also worked extensively behind the scenes on the original series of So You Think You Can Dance when it was hosted by Bassingthwaighte, reconnecting with his first love of dance.
