Macklemore doesn’t know Ryan Lewis

YOU can’t feel too sorry for Ryan Lewis — alongside his musical partner Macklemore, he’s scored millions of album sales, four Grammy Awards and a worldwide number one with Thrift Shop.
But with rapper Macklemore as the public face of the duo, there’s no denying Lewis often falls by the wayside.
The producer found that out the hard way when he took to the streets of New York in a skit that aired on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Ryan Lewis took the Clark Kent option when disguising himself to chat with Macklemore fans.

His only disguise a pair of glasses, Lewis spoke to punters on the street who identified as Macklemore fans and asked them what they thought about the other half of the musical duo.
“I thought he was a producer… I always see him on stage when Macklemore’s performing. It seems like he’s doing something with computers or whatnot,” one clueless fan told Lewis.
“To be honest, I’m more on the Macklemore side than the Ryan Lewis side,” said another.
It was only when presented with a large picture of the pair and asked to pick Lewis that most fans put two and two together.
She just figured it out.

And a tongue-in-cheek cameo from Macklemore himself at the end of the clip showed that even the rapper himself ain’t quite sure what Ryan Lewis does. Check it out below:
