WE never had Robert De Niro pegged as a Kylie Minogue fanboy — but we didn’t think he’d be quite so visibly unimpressed by our homegrown pop diva.
The two were among guests on Italian variety show Amici on the weekend, with Minogue taking to the stage for an energetic performance of her hit Into the Blue.
While the live audience cheered her on, the show’s cameras cut away to De Niro for reaction shots no less than five times during the performance. Perhaps he was unaware he was on camera; perhaps he didn’t care. Either way, it’s safe to say the 70-year-old actor won’t be rushing out to grab a copy of Minogue’s new album Kiss Me Once:
“I’ve always preferred Dannii.”

Thankfully, as Kylie reached the song’s anthemic final chorus and the show’s credits rolled, De Niro loosened up and really started to enjoy himself:
“YAAAAS Kylie YAAAAAS you look fierce gurl”
