Up one spot from last week’s position, “Fire” claims #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It seizes the throne from Artists Of Then, Now & Forever’s “Forever Country,” which sinks to #15 after two weeks on top.

In addition to claiming #1 on Hot Country Songs, “Fire” returns to #1 on Country Digital Song Sales (+2). It holds at #3 on Country Airplay (but enjoys a week-to-week gain in airplay; it is also receiving substantial support at Hot AC radio) …

Nick Jonas Debuts at No. 2 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart, Drake’s ‘Views’ Steady at No. 1

Views is the first album by a male to spend seven consecutive weeks at No. 1 in nearly 16 years. The RIAA formally issued the platinum album certification on December 3, 2015.

The platinum certification confirms a US shipment count of at least 1 million.

Released in January 2015, “Title” has yielded the 9x platinum “All About That Bass,” the 2x platinum “Lips Are Movin,” the 2x platinum “Dear Future Husband,” the platinum “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” and the gold title track “Title.”

J. Cole Earns His First Million-Selling Album With ’2014 Forest Hills Drive’

J. Cole earns his first million-selling album in the U.S., as his chart-topping 2014 Forest Hills Drive has surpassed a million copies sold, according to Nielsen Music. The set’s cumulative sales rose past the threshold in the week ending Sept. 3, as it sold another 6,000 copies, bringing its total to 1.004 million. The album was released in December of 2014 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming his third consecutive No. 1. It continues to rules has the rapper’s biggest selling set. His previous album Born Sinner (released in 2013) has sold 747,000 while his first set, Cole World: The Sideline Story (released in 2011) has sold 772,000.

It’s also the third album to top the million mark in YTD sales (?) following 1989 and If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late.
